Short Doc:
DISTRIBUTION CONDITIONS:
The icons in the package may be freely distributed, but may not be sold for
money or profet or altered. Note: There is a 32 bit checksum CRC list
included in this archive (CRCList). This file is so I can check if anyone
has tampered with any of the files in this distubution. If the file
'CRCList' file is not present in this distrubution or anthing is altered I
will instantly no about it, since the 32 bit checksum CRC's of the files
will be different. If I find anyone has tampered with the archive I shall
not release further icons sets.
ABOUT:
Here's some icons for all issues of 'The Crypt' I have created for those of
you who run the magazine from your hard disk. If I receive a good
response, I shall continue to produce further icons for future issues.
The icons have been created using Personal Paint 7, ImageStudio and the
IconEdit program and saved out as a v44 colour icon that OS 3.5 / 3.9 uses,
so you will need:-
AmigaOS 3.5 / 3.9
256 colour pallette screen (24 bit is also fine), 800x600 screen resolution
or more.
CopyIcon44 (Included with this distrubution, and is © Stephan Rupprecht).
About CopyIcon44:
To update NewIcons and Commodore 4 colour / MagicWB icons to OS 3.5 ones,
you need to use CopyIcon44 by Stephan Rupprecht. CopyIcon44 works
*exactly* like the 'CopyIcon' tool included in the NewIcon package, but is
specifically for OS 3.5. It will allow you to update your 'Crypt' icons to
the lovely icons in this package. I include CopyIcon44 with this
distribution.
To Install CopyIcon44:
To use CopyIcon44 install it into your Tools drawer. Then drag the
CopyIcon44 program icon out of your tools drawer and onto your Workbench
screen, and select 'Leave Out'. Position the CopyIcon44 icon where you
want it (ensure it's highlighted) and select Icons/Snapshot from top of
Workbench screen. This means CopyIcon44 is alway readily accessible on
bootup so updating all your old icons in the foreseeable future is a
breeze.. :-D
To Update Your Icons:
Now click once on the CopyIcon44 program icon, then hold down the left
shift key. click once on the Crypt icon you want to use, then finally
(whilst still holding down the shift key) click twice on 'The Crypt' icon
you want to change. Voila, it is updated with one of the icons you
selected in this package.
I inclose a screengrab of the icons in the package (ICONS.IFF) so you can
see what they look like 8-D
